Smelly Sick Day

These are the places I would like to go today. I am having of a gross-out cold and therefore am hallucinatory about where I am able to travel. I am thinking again, of course, of a trip (nude) in an airstream. Criss cross. Many diners, many motels. Much in the way of grits consumed on this trip. Much in the way of bacon and beer.

1. Corn Palace
.

2. Precious Moments Inspiration Park
.

3. Pez Museum
.

4. Petrified Wood Park
.

5. The World's Largest Basket
.

I work in that basket. Let me tell you, it is gloomy in there.

MM, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling badly. your travel plans sound like rejuvenation incarnate. You should include the Dinosaur Truck Stop outside Palm Springs, if it still stands. Sadly, important monuments are often razed as people cannot fathom their signifcance.

That sounds fun. I am in like with the dinosaurs. I also enjoy cavern tours, especially ones where they have cartoon animals down in the depths, meant to frighten little children. I also LOVE the gift shops. I want to buy only souvenirs forever.

I believe that you would look good with a beaded belt with Mountain Man spelled out on it. You could replace the hose.

Mountain Man said...

Right, good idea. The hose broke anyway yesterday, during my raintime forest jaunt. I could use a sprucing up of my look.

The hose fell onto a urinal cake. I had to leave it and the weeds behind. Do not try to picture this. It was awful.

Urinal cake? I've never had that. Is that what they were serving down in the chelsea forest? Was it tasty?

i too have visited the corn palace. i wish it were an art museum or concert hall, or freak show, or petting zoo inside instead of nothing. I want to visit the House on the Rock. curios curios a plenty from what I hear. Hope you are resting up MM!

Please tell more about the House on the Rock. I love curios more than almost anything. I love crap that makes no sense. I am currently alternating naps, blogging and working on a drawing based on the petrified wood park. Cone shapes made from segmented strangeness. It is dark all around. Maybe worms will tangle in the sky, I am not sure. Wild grasses may grow up around the druid like cones. Much like Krixfort's cone of silence.

FB a petting zoo and an art gallery would be a great combination. Maybe we can erect a corn palace in Chelsea and fill it with baby animals and good art. Maybe sell sno-cones there?

HP and FB are very lovely.

It is uneven and mal in the summertime heat and sun. It promises good and delivers blisters.

You should use sunscreen, it's your own fault.

I am becoming a toad.

Anonymous said...

then you are ready for toad play MM.

Mountain Man said...

Yes, it is time for the toad. But I feel inverted in an improper sense. There is a foul smell about. The stretching is leading to dangerous mists.

MM, how Kafka-esque! Will a queen's kiss turn you back into a hairy man of the mountain? I think Wandee would love any excuse to kiss you. But she might want to disinfect your lips first.

sloth said...

Sloth would like to visit the Precious Moments Park, and climb to the tippity-top of the tallest mountain in the distance, and then hurl large rocks down upon the tiny heads.

Mountain Man said...

Sloth! You are mischevious. This is good. I will throw with you. I would like to hit them in those big wide eyes. Wandee's lip disinfectant would be most welcome. Perhaps it would prevent these mysterious bouts of illness.

My face is a catastrophe of asymmetry?

Mountain Man said...

Is it?

Bonnie are you drunk?

Anonymous said...

It's because I reorganized Bonnie's face in the night.

MM, you are very very wonderful.
