Muffled

I have plugged up my ears with cotton and covered my eyes with post-its. I will eat MM pie and stew all day so as not to alarm anyone with the foul utterances that would emerge if I were able to speak. Do not be surprised if I feel you up as I pass you, I am blind today and have the prerogative as such to feel my way through the teeming throngs.

Earlier this morning I thought it might be interesting to try to believe in a pantheon of gods and goddesses. Has anyone ever tried this and does it have any positive effect?

It is better not to see hear or speak. It is better to turn inward and curdle.

Many powerful spirit everywhere. Much groping, much sun. All mineral, all flora open now. Turn inside for many luck.

MM, I would like to join you in your fast from hearing and seeing. My seeing potential has dwindled down to a corner where beige meets small blue squares as of now so I believe the transition to post-it notes would be smooth and painless.

Please give us readers your recipe for the MM stew. Tingling, my taste buds are.

Does a yeti or vampire qualify as a god?

what about hobgoblins? are they on the list? They should be.

Sloth thinks the pantheon idea is so much more interesting than the one-big-daddy-god idea. There's much more possibility for drama and intrigue.

krixfort said...

I agree sloth! Plus they make for better movies. Passion of the Christ vs Clash of the Titans? C'mon! Clash wins hands down. Jesus didn't have no talking owl! fooey on him.

krixfort said...

I forgot. the mechanical owl didn't talk. it just whistled.

I believe that whomever you choose to worship should be on the list, be they hobgoblin types, vampires, weimeraners... and most especially the Yeti, a favorite of mine along with the Sasquatchers. I believe that shrines should be assembled in honor of these gods and it is important, in the manner of the Greek gods, that they behave very badly. It is reinforcing to know that those that you pray to are capable of incoherence and misdeeds.

Fairy, I will later post the recipe to both MM stew and MM pie. I think you will find them most fortifying.

With the encouragement of my darling dearest Ham Paw, I am foraging inward and woodward to find the roots of wild inchoate chomping, the true spirit of MM that he loses touch with most regularly.

The frogs are aligned in the brushes and are chewing on muddy caterpillars. There is much in the way of croaking.

Oh Krix, the mechanical owl was so mesmerizing. You are so good with the references and remembering. I admire.

I heart Hammy Pawlet too.

I pray to soft sculptures of rainbows every night. Rainbows on clouds made from satin.

krixfort said...

I am needing to pray soon. I am hoping that someone in the pantheon can rescue me from jail. I'm sure there will be some kind of Faustian trade off for this.

Clash of the Titans was a great film! Way ahead of it's time in terms of special effects.

I want to live inside a rainbow but instead I feel like a husk propped up at a desk.

krixfort said...

FB, you are rainbow brite!

fairy butler said...

I agree about Clash of the Titans. I will put this on my queue.

krixfort said...

didn't that LA law guy have to fight the skeletons?

postmoderndebunker said...

Yes, he did so with his super-sized lips. Then Nicolette Sheridan added her boob-power to the task...

krixfort said...

Nicolette Sheridan's boob power. . the precursor to Lara Croft in Boob Raider.

PD, you have an amazing memory.

Aw shucks Krix...I was thinking the same about you. Funny, I can't remember things like geometry, for instance.

krixfort said...

geometry? Is that a band?

postmoderndebunker said...

Yes, I can picture their outfits--black-lined triangles on red leather.

MM: If there's something you'd like to try, if there's something you'd like to try, ask me I won't say no--how could I?

krixfort said...

MM, will you compile a cookbook of Mountain cooking? Will it have Mountain mutton? I bet Bleet would not like that.

I am making a dense weave of fur for my new outfit. Hi Krix. I am mentoring myself into the weeds, feeding on caterpillars in the bullrushes.
