Idea

Perhaps if I get one of these I will learn how to sleep again.

Really? It's a great one. It reminded me of you actually. Funny. We are having a psychic fart moment.

Mountain Man said...

The thing is I want a live puppy on my eyes. Then I will sleep, I know it.

ME said...

We lost a hay pig on Tuesday does the thing offer a telepathic link to dead pets?

MM. I am feeling the evils of alcohol. Still. And it is 2:30 in the afternoon.

I have been spirited away by the freedom from beige and have turned this week into too much celebrations and libations.

Hangovers are bad.

Mountain Man said...

No but I do. Wait a minute. Ok. Your hay pig is squealing at the very bottom of a pile of many other squealing hay pigs. This pile is somewhere near a highway. There is a steep dropoff on one side, a ravine down below. Does this sound familiar? Also I am getting the initials M S.

I work part-time as a psychic, usually the late shift but in this case I'll make an exception.

By the way, what's a hay pig?

if I had that eyeball puppy, I would feel better.

Mountain Man said...

Krix I feel your sorrow and pain. It's no good. Take a motrin or 4. Your head at least will feel ok. Pat pat Krix. Then just give over into the evening and try hair of the dog. It's already close to 3...it's real grey out, that practically qualifies as night...right?

Mountain Man said...

PD, OMG you have tail?

fairy butler said...

blogger is failing me. why does it do this? mm. i hope this pup is filled with heavy sands, the sands of sleeps, and that it poops out tiny ambien pellets. that might help. i hear tell. sorry to talk about poop again.

this just in: the beige is letting us out early today on account of the 'inclement weather' = huzzah!!!

Mountain Man said...

Right on, FB, get your bum home!!! Ambien. Yes. I tried this for airplane rides years ago and it made me hallucinate instead of sleep. I would think about Saturday morning children's tv shows and puppets and stuff and feel like everything in the entire world from the beginning of time up until now made total sense. I was convinced. It was kind of like tripping and it made me puke sometimes. So that's the story with me and ambien. Obviously there is something severely wrong with my system. I am millions self-replicating nanobots disguised as a semblance of a person. That is my best guess.

ME said...

OMG MM!!!! The hay pig is currently wrapped in a plastic bag, duct taped and in the compost garbage can in the backyard waiting for a possible spring burial if it doesnt stink by then. The compost can has a big "coMpoSt" sticker on it. You are psychic!!!!!!

Get yourself a 900 # TODAY!!!!!!

Mountain Man said...

Yikes, Regi.

ME said...

MM psychic test- What was the name of the haypig?

Mountain Man said...

Clovis? Or was it Little Earl?

ME said...

clovis is closer

Mountain Man said...

Cleo? Clark? Jarvis? Elvis? Beavis? Bovis? Am I warmer?

fairy butler said...

clovis. ha!!

mm, this ambien thing is wacked - but i have heard of this kind of thing happening. how bout just plain ole booze for the sleeps?

i love when the beige lets us out early it is always because the CEOs don't want to have a hard time driving home to connecticut or wherever they live.

Mountain Man said...

Booze is my bag, FB, you know that!

Haha on the CEOs. May they sit anxiously in hours of traffic whilst you fly like a bird on the wing quickly home to Brooklyn.

Yes, the ambien is the key to divining the knowledge base of geometry to rear door ajar beeps. There is a thread of understanding that finds its way from the bulging eyes of life-size puppets and dartabout cartoons to the eyes of yourself and your dead elders. Everything tangles up in the tubes of your intestines and a fullness and wholeness comes, you say yes to yourself over and over.

Mountain Man said...

PD, take a pill. Go on. You know you want to.

ME said...

I've been awake since 10pm yesterday and Im not complaining.

Mountain Man said...

You're a better man than me Regi, is why.

ME said...

I have constant munchies though.

ME said...

Super freezing air after rain might be coming your way. You can practise your curling game.

Anonymous said...

PD, please kick over some pills. I am starting to feel better.

I am not leaving my house today.

sloth said...

Krix, stay where you are; it's pissing freezing rain.

MM, I want a tiny dog to live on my face when I'm alsleep. He can use my nose as a dog house.

Mountain Man said...

What is Valtrex? Sounds like a space hippie name to me.

Anonymous said...

I'm having an existential crisis of second guessing myself. The museum had an offer to make but I refused them. They even called to try to convince me to change my mind.

What have I done? Argh. I am retarded.

Anonymous said...

sorry to carry this over to your blog MM. *teeth gnashing*

I am rocking back and forth moaning.

Mountain Man said...

Krix, no more rocking! You made the right decision, you were very pragmatic about the whole thing. You are probably second guessing self due in part to hangover (not good to self-lacerate in that state) and the fact that you are not in cube land right now. Once you start your new thing, there will be no time to 2nd guess and you will be more confident, maybe, in your decision-making prowess. That's what I think. Remember the reasons you said no in the first place - just because they want you very much now doesn't mean that would magically make it the right fit for you. You are wanted, that is the good part. Now go ahead and try the hair of the dog remedy. I bet it will work wonders. (I am the worst kind of enabler...).

Anonymous said...

thanks MM. You are wise AND psychic.

I am getting over this crisis. The hangover state is/was partially to blame.

Anonymous said...

valtrex is for herpes...not hippies.

Anonymous said...

Can I use Valtrex too?

Anonymous said...

PD, Minerva is trying to convince me I need to go to Atlantic City with her to see Depeche Mode. I am hesitating on this one.

sloth said...

GOGOGO!

Anonymous said...

hmmmmm. Do they actually have new stuff?

Anonymous said...

who cares abou the new stuff--just go see them. it will be funny!!!

sloth said...

Yes Krix, take yourself a little vacation.

Anonymous said...

i can't believe i missed out on ambien talk. i have much to offer.

Mountain Man said...

Like what WW? What? Stories, goods, qualities?

Anonymous said...

all of the above. i mean, as a sleep enhancer it's not all that great. what the big "A" is good for is forgetting things. for instance, i have tried on many exciting outfits under the influence of the blue wonder without a single memory to plague me the next day. i have woken up to a rocky crag of boots and sweaters with the sleeves tied together and thought, who did this? ambien is good for this and many other joyful events, like returning emails to family members.

Mountain Man said...

Oh WW, could you be any more charming in your antics? Me doubts. I want to tie up sweaters and misapprehend. I do remember one airplane trip to Utah with UF and mini UF wherein I had taken ambien (overnight trip) and started to try to talk to mini UF about stuff - I told her that everything hooks up through Saturday morning tv shows. I was serious. She was 15. She may not have forgotten this strangeness.

Anonymous said...

yes, it can be dangerous in the presence of others. best to try it alone at first. i like it with a cold pinot. the "wonder" works its magic like a true friend, a dedicated servant, a sex slave in a blue vinyl mask. sadly, my ziplocs are empty.

Anonymous said...

Tangles of knots not tight enough to bind leave sweet laughter echoes in my mind and other rooms.

Anonymous said...

MM, will you attend the event at UF's gallery in 48 hours? if so, will you find me in fluorescent orange boots? me, i mean. me will be in the boots.

sloth said...

Fluorescent orange boots = cute!!! I might have to mug you for them.

Anonymous said...

Yes WW, we will be there towards the early end for sure. I will keep a lookout for the boots.

Heart As Arena said...

Wouldn't it be great if this were a growth that had occurred naturally?

fairy butler said...

mm, i suffered the non-sleeps last night. it is catching! i am thinking it was because of not enough liquor.

sloth said...

FB, me too!!!!! major toss/turn miz. Blah. I'll see you in line at the pharmacy...

fairy butler said...

totally sloth. i think i was gleaning stress from arthur - absorbing his. now i am drinking a pot of coffee in anticipation on relic murders etc.

sloth said...

ooh! No beige today? Lucky! Go FB!

fairy butler said...

yeah, i've got to get a move on. sloth, your suggestion about the mediocre painting has fortified me. i feel like i have a side project to work on now which is perfect. a distraction from the pacing and ruminating and relic-murdering. i just wish i could shrink wrap all the old ones so that they would fit into a shoe box. they take up too much space and depress me somehow. the unwanted paintings that i can't actually pack away.

fairy butler said...

i'm in a clearing out mood. which is good, i guess.

sloth said...

it's good to do a deep cleanse once in awhile. My studio looks like a tornado hit it right now.
