Alternate Versions

Striated grooves dug into thighs, hands pressed in waffle iron, syrup poured on flesh, no eating, just waiting. There is a Cosmic Chicken that rules all events which are pre-destined. This Chicken has no will, no body, but is a pattern of chicken, a pattern of accumulation of vibrations and waves. We will share speech, fuse with each other, and find intervals that belong to neither you or me. The verbs come, and one action is replaced immediately by another. This is our link to the world, although we are hiding.

Morning MM. I am thinking of french toast at the moment. I would like to buy a waffle iron that has the imprint of hands.

why the hiding today MM? Are you on the lam?

Hi PD and Krix. I am wanting to hide from the meandering qualities of life. From people. I cannot help it, it is my hermit-muskrat way. Hide, hide, hide. I need to sweat profusely and clear my head out. Thoughts and anxieties are like maggots crawling around my heart and stomach. It feels off in there.

MM, hello and hi. Movers came to take a giant relic out of the log this morning. Sloth is a sleepy sloth. The Cosmic Chicken is benevolent today. Small creatures will be sacrificed to the pattern of chicken.

sloth said...

MM, it sounds like you need a swim.

Mountain Man said...

Hi Sloth. I hope they were taking your relic somewhere nice.

Mountain Man said...

A swim sounds good. Any kind of intense movement.

i can smell the cosmic chicken and the waffle syrup. It is forming a cumulus cloud, nearing my pen, threatening dumps. MM, sometimes hiding is the only way. It is part of my way of life, the hiding. It is ok.

Fairy, under the yay for painting post, I responded to you, just so you know.

Hiding and avoidance. That's me!

ok, gotcha. i feel I can speak for all of us when we say we heart artistic thoughts!! it is one of the few pluses about coming to the beige, the others being lunch, friends, paycheck. There are always naysayers with rules and criticisms. AT is an excellent blog. It is cool it was deemed "of note."

Mountain Man said...

Thanks Fairy. It's ok, just made me feel weird, a reminder that there are people who may look but not comment and the audience is wider than we think sometimes, you know? I mean, Arizona? I don't know anyone there.

fairy butler said...

yes, agreed. I just replied to the previous post about my experience. It's almost like the longer it goes on and more complex and involved it gets the weirder it gets for outside folks to get into the ether. I feel like it is so anonymous most of the time, but then, I guess not. ?? Let's forget about that though. me thinky.

Yes FB, forgetting is just the thing. Artisticthoughts is a superlative blog, and has added great meaning to the life of Sloth. And all blogs have a "chat-room" aspect, if comments are allowed. So what? You can join in or not. Don't like the format? Go start your own blog. This is called free speech. Which can be sometimes the form of poetry, sometimes nonsense, sometimes chit-chat, sometimes humor. Etc.

longlife to mm and artisticthoughts. must process you like UHT milk to keep fresh even without refrigeration. i enjoy my visits here immensely. the threads take me to many unknown and smiling spaces. sometimes i dont want to barge in a comment and choose to be a happy people inspector and smiling spectator sattelite. the heat in arizona must have melted some brains.

Mountain Man said...

Monster Spank, you are right about the Arizona heat, I think. Thank you for your kind comments, I love your visits.

Arizona is going textbook free, all digital. They think they have harnessed the sands, but tumbleweeds blow in their minds.

Mountain Man said...

Bob, as we both know, the sands cannot be harnessed, they just will not be.

Mountain Man said...

Sands are in my squirts today, I am held still by inner core rantings. I am sinking to new lows - comfort drawstring pants are being worn out of doors. I am frightened.

Go see PD's art show- it's a work of gorgeosity!

Mountain Man said...

PD I saw your show. Excellent, excellent. You rule.

Go forth into the wind tunnel, is what looking at paintings makes me think. I want to get blown around and forget the real world.

I heart artisticthoughts, and all connected blogs. Hooray for blogland. Thank you for making today great!

I have been to Arizona. I didn't like it a lot. I got a speeding ticket. That was just my experience.

Their iced tea is pretty good. Nice cactuses, too.

Anonymous said...

I agree sloth. Nice cacti. Pretty desert sunsets.

MM, when will you have your next show?

fairy butler said...

Where is hampaw?

sloth said...

I'll wager that MM is currently at work curating the next go-'round.

Yes, Hammy, where art thou? Are the Sirs running you raggedy? Have they tied you up with coaxial cables?

Are you not bored to death of chit chat

Hey dude anonymous. Obviously not. If you are, then don't read. Smarten up and use your time better with activities that engage YOUR mind.
